Montana State Line:
(Cooke City, MT). We enter Wyoming- the Forest Service maintains this stretch of road, so signage is sparse. Indication for WYO 296 after we cross in, first reassurance shield finally pops up after that. It’s on a 2di blank, but has no inventory number and is likely not a WYDOT manufacture. It’s also really old.

US-212’s eastbound destination is 2 states away, a rarity in the west. Junction US-212 comes up really quickly.

(Geneva, ID) Final US-89 shield in Wyoming, 10 miles to junction WYO 89 (via Idaho 61) and Cokeville and Evanston are WYO 89 destinations, just before the state line we are informed that it’s three miles to junction WYO 89, Welcome to Idaho!, first Idaho US-89 reassurer, junction Idaho 61 coming up (a quick route to WYO 89), turn left to follow Idaho 61, where that VIA sign is has usually sat a WYO 89 shield, but that may have been pulled down, after the turn we are told Idaho 61 heads TO WYO 89, Idaho 61 ends at the Wyoming line, Welcome to Wyoming!, first WYO 89 shield

(Moran Junction, WY) We’ll approach Moran Junction. Just north of Moran is the pay station where the US routes end. We do get one final US highway sign with no advance notice. The sign for Moran Junction.
