Driving this was sort of the end of an era – I finally clinched I-5 on this segment (of all possible segments, oddly) in early October 2020. I’d been in the progress of clinching I-5 since my second ever clinching drive, way back in April 2007 in Tacoma, Washington.

A few miles later, I-505 will merge onto I-5. There is no access from I-5 north to I-505 south. I-505 serves as a handy bypass between the Bay Area and the I-5 corridor north of here.
