SR-900 begins as we turn right onto the frontage road.

The first few feet of the frontage road are paved as we pass in front of a gas station. I suspect the gas station itself paved this.

Just after that, SR-900 turns into a sandy dirt. Up ahead, we’ll bump into the first fork uphill, 900 B.
