No reassurance shield as SR 227 begins. 227 takes an interesting path – 12th Street is the more major route over the railroad tracks for folks headed south, but 227 follows 5th St.

After we pass 12th Street, where most of the traffic is, SR 227 widens to five lanes.

A few miles later, we’ll approach SR 228.
Location: Lamoille Rd and Jiggs Rd, Spring Creek
As we approach SR 228 we’ll enter unincorporated Spring Creek, a very large suburb of Elko.
