Reassurance shield after US-87 joins US-64 as we start to head out of Raton

US-64/87 is designated as the John L Morrow Memorial Highway. Morrow was a member of the state senate for two years in the 70s and is from Union County, which we’ll enter here in about 20 miles. Otherwise I have no idea who he is.

Reassurance shield after the highway widens in a random location. The road is intermittently a divided highway, with the two lane portions slowly being converted as this is a pretty important freight route from Denver to Texas
Location: US-64 and SR 193, Colfax Cty
Junction SR 193 coming up. This one is well signed for a New Mexico highway, which we’ll soon see is remarkably inconsistent. SR 193 is a sometimes paved-sometimes not highway down to Farley and the southern part of the county
