Welcome to Colorado Springs! The city itself is quite long- we’ll be in it for about 20 miles
Location: I-25 and Interquest Pkwy, Colorado Springs
Follow Exit 153 and Interquest Pkwy to get to SH-21, which is Powers Blvd, the sort of eastern expressway for north-south Colorado Springs traffic. There is no direct connection from SH-21 to I-25, however.

Location: I-25 and Nevada Ave, Colorado Springs
Reassurance shield after the Nevada Ave interchange. Also before the route swap, this was where US-85 left I-25. Now it will continue to run along I-25 until south of Colorado Springs, where it will magically leave the freeway without an interchange
Location: I-25 and Garden of the Gods Rd, Colorado Springs
Reassurance shield after Garden of the Gods Rd. We’re now in the main part of Colorado Springs

Another reassurance shield after Fillmore St. Like so many other routes, Fillmore St used to be SH-38, and was turned back to city control as part of the route swap to get SH-21 onto the system
Location: I-25 and Fontanero St, Colorado Springs
Another reassurance shield after Fontanero St. Downtown Colorado Springs is visible to the left

Another reassurance shield after the Uintah Street interchange
Location: I-25 and Bijou St, Colorado Springs
Another reassurance shield after Bijou St. US-24 will come up here in a second, without shield advance signage. The Manitou Spgs/Pike Peak sign is the best indicator of its upcoming presence
Location: I-25 and Cimarron St, Colorado Springs
Exit for US-24 West, which heads towards Pike Peak. US-24 east will join I-25/US-85/US-87 for a second, but unlike the other two US Routes will actually be signed.
