- I-84 Business (Mountain Home)
Make progress on
- US 30 (I-84 at Bliss to I-84 at Burley)
- ID-55 (ID-44 to I-84)
Utah
Clinch
- I-84
Make progress on
- I-80 (I-84 to WY Line)
- US 189 (I-84 to WY Line)- and yes if UDOT wants to sign obnoxious physical gaps in their state highways, that’s fine. Hell, if they want to modify a terminus of a US highway in their own state, that’s fine. They can’t truncate half the route without AAHSTO approval though, so I’m going with the AAHSTO on that one. US 189 travels with US 40 and I-80 to the Wyoming line whether Utah agrees or not
As a bonus I’ll be spending the night in Ogden and daylight permitting I’ll drive as many state highways in that area as I can. There’s a bunch of really short ones west of downtown Ogden, and I’ll see how many of those I can clinch before sundown
So that’s a fairly large amount to chew on. I’ll also naturally clinch I-84 too, which is cool since it’s the longest interstate I’ll have clinched and also the only one that doesn’t even go through a state I’m really focusing on att his point (Oregon doesn’t really count despite Oregon routes.org) Within a few days after arriving I’ll head out Torrington way and get a lot of Cheyenne/Torrington stuff too.
In the next few days, though, I’ve got some sort of bookkeeping to do- I need to put up some US-20/26/30 pages where they are overlapped with I-84 already, and then I still owe pictures of Idaho 41. I’ll have all that done by the 5th.
