Reassurance shield as 16 continues. This segment of road opened in August 2014 as a 65 MPH expressway over the Boise River between 44 and 20/26, and is the first new crossing over the Boise in over 20 years. While the road right now seems pointless, it will eventually extend to I-84 and provide a great westerly bypass of Boise for folks headed from the I-84 corridor to Emmett, McCall, and points north.
