Just after the 896 split, we’ll approach US 40 and former US 301.

Keep right for 40 west towards Elkton MD and left for 40 east towards Wilmington and US 13. Stay straight for 896 south towards Middletown and Annapolis MD. Until 2019, this was the northern terminus of US 301.
