Most of the development you see in the background is in Mexico; we&#8217;re only a couple blocks from the border. The freeway begins a block after we head around this corner<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.corcohighways.org\/highways\/az\/19\/19nogalesto189\/3.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>AKP<\/strong>: 0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Location<\/strong>: I-19 and West St, Nogales<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">As we head around the corner, we&#8217;re presented with the most metricated highway in the USA, I-19. Mileposts are in kilometers (hence AKP), and distance is mostly in meters and kilometers. Speed limits are still in Imperial units, however<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.corcohighways.org\/highways\/az\/19\/19nogalesto189\/4.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>AKP<\/strong>: 2<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Location<\/strong>: I-19 and Mariposa Rd, Nogales<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1500 meters after the freeway begins, we&#8217;ll get 2 km notification for SR 189, which heads south.
