Route 128 gets somewhat downgraded as I-95 joins it – Boston has historically and very stubbornly always referred to the 128 corridor as “Route 128” even though it has been primarily signed as I-95 for decades. This is the final extant stretch of 128 – from here to its southern terminus at I-93 it will run concurrently with I-95.<\/p>\n
