As we momentarily head out of the city of Casper, state maintenance will begin. It’s unclear how this works, exactly, but from what I can tell the city of Casper has taken over maintenance of the portions of the route within its city limits, but for signage purposes the route is still Highway 258. A little later on we’ll see and END state maintenance sign followed immediately by a 258 shield<\/p>\n

We’ll enter Casper again and quickly come to a junction with WYO 251<\/p>\n

Trucks are not allowed on WYO 251, as the route is a windy corridor up to Casper Mountain with steep grades and hairpin turns and things that aren’t truck friendly<\/p>\n

Follow 251 North to Casper College, where it will cease to be a state highway<\/p>\n

Turn right for 251 north up to Casper College, left for 251 south to Casper Mountain, stay straight to follow 258 to 220<\/p>\n
