As we head out of Silver Gate, we’re advised that snowmobiles aren’t allowed on US-212. This is the first formal indication that 212 exists.<\/p>\n

A few miles later, we’ll enter Cooke City and we’re again advised not to take snowmobiles on US-212.<\/p>\n

Just past Cooke City, the Beartooth Highway and US-212 will briefly dip into Wyoming, before continuing on to Red Lodge and Billings.<\/p>\n
