CT 71 begins without signage – the first bit of 71 is kind of odd as it is just a quarter mile connector to CT 150.

A quarter mile later, we’ll come to an unmarked junction with CT 150. Turn right for 150 north. Turn left for 150 south and 71 north, which concur for a tenth of a mile under a railroad overpass.
