As SSR 434 begins we’re advised to follow it to Devil’s Hopyard State Park. 434 is 10 miles long and connects to the state system at both ends while serving a populated community, so I’m not sure why it’s an SSR and not on the regular state system.

Four miles later, we’ll pass by the little community of Millington.

In Millington, keep left to continue on SSR 434 to Devils Hopyard State Park. Follow a local road to CT 82 and Hadlyme.

A mile later, turn right to stay on SSR 434.

No signage after the turn as we head south back to CT 82.

Five miles later, we’ll approach CT 82 and SSR 434 will end. Turn right for 82 west back to where we started and left for 82 east.
