.21 miles into SR 649, we’ll turn right onto Poquonnock Rd.

A third of a mile later, we’ll make another turn onto the airport road.

A mile later, we’ll approach the Groton-New London Airport, which does not currently have any commercial service.

As we head away from the airport, we’re advised not to continue because an upcoming underpass is flooded.

That didn’t make much sense given the weather conditions, so I pressed on to find a barely wet underpass that is very open.

Just after that, we’ll approach US 1 (which has picked up the same Poquonnock Rd we were on earlier). Turn right for 1 north to I-95 and left for US 1 south. SR 649 ends.
