Interstate 10, SR 243 to SR 111

APM: 18

Location: I-10 and Morongo Trl, Cabazon, Riverside Cty

With construction in September 2020, signage was somewhat sporadic on I-10 through here. This reassurance shield is after the Cabazon interchange.

APM: 23

Location: I-10 and Haugen-Lehmann Rd, Riverside Cty

A few miles later, we’re 1.75 miles from SR 111.

APM: 24

Location: I-10 and Haugen-Lehmann Rd, Riverside Cty

Two hours to US 95 at speed limit, which absolutely nobody does through the desert.

APM: 24

Location: I-10 and Haugen-Lehmann Rd, Riverside Cty

This is a terrible sign – but what it means is that if you are going to Cathedral City or Rancho Mirage, you should stay on I-10 and exit in 15 miles.

APM: 24

Location: I-10 and Haugen-Lehmann Way, Riverside Cty

Just after Haugen-Lehmann, we’ll approach SR 111.

APM: 24

Location: I-10 and SR 111, Riverside Cty

Keep right ahead as we pass under the first of the two famous “other Desert Cities” gantries. I drove this over Labor Day weekend in September 2020, but by the end of the month in September the button copy had been replaced with a new sign – fortunately the legacy lives on with the new sign.

APM: 25
