No reassurance shield as this state-maintained segment of SR 111 begins. It’s pretty unclear what the actual routing of SR 111 is through this area – you could argue this is mainline 111 and the portion north of here is just not 111 anymore. When 111 north of here was relinquished, the various cities were required to keep signing 111 through their jurisdictions to connect the two segments, and they sort of have done that, so it’s unclear what 111 officially/unofficially does.

Regardless, definitely turn right here for 111 south. Depending on how you read state law, you may also be able to turn left here for 111 north. This site adopts the most liberal possible definitions of what highways might exist.
