Shortly thereafter we’ll approach Old BC 4A, which connects to the current BC 4A alignment. Turn left to get to 4A.

Shortly thereafter we’ll approach Bennett Rd, which is a bypass of sorts to Qualicum Beach. Follow it around to get to BC 19 and BC 4. This is not the old BC 4 junction – we’ll approach that later.

As we enter downtown Qualicum Beach we’ll approach old BC 4, which connects to BC 19.

Turn left ahead for Old BC 4, which logically connects to BC 4.

Follow old BC 4 to downtown Qualicum Beach and on to Port Alberni.

Turn left to connect to BC 19.

Turn left for another connection to BC 19.

Shortly thereafter we’ll enter unincorporated Fannie Bay.

As we head out of Fanny Bay we’ll approach Buckley Bay and another turnoff to BC 19.

As we enter Courtenay, BC 19A will make a right turn to head past downtown.

Just after turning right, BC 19A will turn left. Follow the local road to Comox.

No reassurance shield after the turn, but turn right to connect to the Courtenay Airport.

As we enter Campbell River, we’re advised to stay on 19A to follow the ocean.

As we enter downtown Campbell River, keep right to stay on 19A towards Port Hardy.

Stay straight to follow BC 19A to BC 19 as we near 19A’s northern terminus.

Stay on 19A for 19.

BC 19 is a one way couplet through here – it has not yet become a freeway. Turn right at the light for 19 north to Port Hardy.
