Location: Taylor Hwy and Alaska Hwy, Southeast Fairbanks

Reassurance shield as Alaska 5 and the Taylor Highway begin. 109 miles to Canada.

Several miles into Alaska 5, pavement will end.

Before we get to Canada, the Taylor Highway will split to continue north to Eagle without a number.

Alaska 5 will take the Top of the World Highway designation.

Pavement resumes as we near the Top of the World Border Crossing.

We’ll enter Pacific Time as we approach the northernmost border crossing in the Western Hemisphere.
