A few kilometers later, we’ll enter the Whistler area. The actual town of Whistler is still 8 km away, but the area is much larger than the town.

As we pass by the town of Whistler we are not reassured. We’re 32 km from Pemberton.

As we head out of Pemberton, BC 99 prepares to make a 90 degree turn.

Turn right to stay on 99 north towards Lillooet. Follow a local road to D’Arcy.

Lillooet is distinctly different from Vancouver, where we started this segment. We’re into interior west vegetation at this point.

As we enter Lillooet, BC 99 turns to connect to BC 12.

Follow the local road into Lillooet. Turn right for 99 north towards Cache Creek and BC 12 (which serves Lytton).
