A half mile later, turn right to head up the hill on SR 130.

As we head up Mt Hamilton, the road gets pretty narrow and twisty.

SR 130 ends here at the entrance to the observatory. The road continues as County Road 130, and the legislative definition of the state highway posits that it may eventually cross all the way to I-5, but that’s not official at this time and the actual state highway ends here.
