In a mile, this sign oversimplifies. This is the northern terminus of US-177 which exits to head south. US-270 will also split from I-40. Oklahoma 3 splits into Oklahoma 3E and 3W. 3E will stay concurrent with I-40 while 3W exits here. Oklahoma SH-270 will also exit here, and follow old US-270 back west. 3E is the mainline route for SH-3, and the two routes reconvene in Ada.
